Sophie Smith
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Sophie graduated from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2025 with a Masters in Physiotherapy and joined the team at Heal shortly afterwards where she is being supported in her career development.
Her path into physiotherapy was shaped by her background as a swimmer, which gave her a deep appreciation for the role physiotherapy plays in both recovery and performance. This experience continues to fuel her passion for helping individuals reach their full potential - whether in sport, work, or everyday life.
Alongside her role at Heal, Sophie is currently a Physiotherapist for Montrose Women’s Football Club in the Scottish Women’s Premier League. Working with players at this level has provided her with valuable experience in injury management, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
Sophie holds additional qualifications in Dry Needling for Musculoskeletal Conditions & Sport, Level 4 Sports Massage, and Sports Taping. She is also set to complete her Level 1 Pilates Matwork certification in the coming months to further enhance her clinical practice.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys travelling, running, surfing, and hunting for hidden gems in local charity shops.
